New York State Broadband Map

The Comprehensive Broadband Connectivity Act of 2021 (the Act)
directs the Public Service Commission (the Commission or PSC) to
study, on an annual basis, the availability, reliability, and cost
of high-speed broadband service in the State. To help make this
happen, in conjunction with the Act, the Broadband Assessment
Program was created. The Broadband Assessment Program is
administered by the Department of Public Service (the Department)
under the direction of the Commission.

The NY Public Service Commission's Broadband Map is an interactive
tool for exploring the "level of service" for a given location, as
well as assessing potential broadband providers on a per-address
basis. Unlike previous broadband mapping efforts, the Broadband
Assessment Program is concentrating on location-level data,
updated annually, to assist in better directing the public and
private sectors in addressing broadband policy, spending, and
planning efforts, and to better inform all New Yorkers of what and
where high-speed broadband services are available.
